Our Governors
Paul Dryden - Chair of Governors
I joined Heatherside's Governing Body in 2022 as my son joined the school in Year 1. I have taken a meandering path through IT services and organisational design, most recently as Chief Technology Officer for Jellycat.
Having seen the passion that the pupils, leadership, staff, parents, carers and community has for the school, past and present, I am looking forward to using my experience to help continue that success for many years to come.

I joined the Governing Body in May 2023 as a co-opted governor. My eldest son is currently in Year 2 and his younger brother will hopefully join in September 2024. I am a fully qualified accountant with several years experience across different areas of finance and I hope to use my skills to aid Heatherside Infants.

Josh McCormack - Local Authority Governor
I teach at a local secondary school with responsibility for managing transition. Previously I worked in a local junior school where I taught a range of year groups. I have also worked for the NHS, within the Surrey Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) managing projects and developing the referral pathway for the Surrey CAMHs service. I therefore bring valuable knowledge of both education and health care to the Governing Body.

I joined the Heatherside Governing Body in June 2022 as a co-opted governor, with one child already established in the school. I have a background in Healthcare having been a nurse for over 20 years and project management. I am hoping to utilise my skills to continue supporting the school and ensure that all children continue to get the best support and opportunities possible and in line with the school's strategic vision.

I joined Heatherside Governing Body in May 2023 as my son is going through Year 1. I have spent my 20 year career in finance as a qualified accountant working in different multinational companies. I am looking forward to having an opportunity to bring my skills to the Governing Body and support the school in giving the best experience to the children.
